Employee Highlight - Lisa

Meet Lisa Cournoyer, Pax Massage's resident polarity therapist. Lisa is a part time therapist who also specializes in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal and Hot Stone massages. Lisa also is a Reiki Master.

Though a lifelong student of holistic wellness and nutrition, it was not until 2004 that Lisa began her basic massage training at Palmer Institute, where she also completed her Reiki Master program.  Lisa later resumed her studies at Spa Tech Institute in Ipswich, MA, where she graduated as a holistic practitioner in 2009. In her previous career, Lisa devoted 16+ years to the biopharmaceutical industry, beginning as an entry-level analytical chemist and progressing to senior management in Regulatory Affairs. Throughout her career, Lisa’s efforts focused on facilitating access to appropriate therapies for patients with serious, debilitating diseases.  However, she also knew in her heart that working directly with individual clients to assist them in harnessing their own body’s amazing ability to heal was her ultimate goal.

Lisa takes the time to tailor her sessions to each client's needs, always with the intention of providing a restorative, relaxing experience. She loves that massage lights her up from within and that she can be a part of assisting someone on their path to wellness and joy.  Lisa has a very warm and soothing touch, and uses a wide variety of techniques to leave clients feeling revived and renewed. The thing that stands out most about Lisa is her presence - she has such a joyful, loving and calming presence that just shines through.
